Biography

Bernarda di Miceli is born around 1861 in Corleone, the daughter of Calogero di Miceli and Salvatrice Carrabba.

Bernarda marries at least twice, first to her third cousin, Bernardo Catalinotto, the son of Giovanni Catalinotto and Marianna Carrabba, on 22 November 1882 in Corleone. Bernardo is 27 (b. 1855) and Bernarda is 21 (b. 1861). She is an industriosa, a manufacturer or trader.[1][2]

Bernarda remarries to Bernardo's brother, Giuseppe Catalinotto, son of Giovanni Catalinotto and Marianna Carrabba, in the San Filippo Church in Chicago, America, as recorded in Corleone, on 9 January 1909. Witnesses are Giuseppe Nicolosi and Leoluchina Spatafora.[4]
